X-Ray Analyzer for WEEE/ROHS and ELV Control
X-Ray Analyzer for WEEE/ROHS and ELV Control, XGT-1000Jobin Yvon is pleased to distribute the New HORIBA XGT-1000 Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer. This analyzer provides quantitative and qualitative non-destructive analysis of all elements from Sodium (Na) to Uranium (U) for solid, liquid, powders and particulate samples.

This instrument is specifically designed to address the environmental compliance for Lead-free legislation, or more accurately, the Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive - RoHS - which will come into effect July 1, 2006. This legislation restricts the use of Pb, Hg, Cd and other organic substances used in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).

The detection limit of the XGT-1000 is enhanced for the 5 main elements involved in this testing (Hg, Pb, Cd, Cr, Br) by the use of a unique primary filter. The XGT Series introduces many exclusive innovations with 6 patents and represents a completely new generation of instrument which will lead the way to a new era of science.

The XGT-1000WR is designed for simple and fast quality control of samples as big as 46 cm x 36 cm x 15 cm without cutting or disassembly. Two high intensity X-Ray narrow beams can be selected: 1.2 or 0.1 mm in diameter in order to make fast and accurate measurements even on small portions of large samples. A real time image of the sample is displayed to ensure proper placement in the sample compartment using a CCD camera.
