Mode-Locked
Laser Upgrade
Mode-locked laser (such as Ti-Sapphire
lasers) can be coupled to sample compartments using our
5000U-07A
laser input optics. Although designed for our
System
5000 and FluoroCube
sample chambers, the 5000U-07A can be adapted for use with
most sample compartments.
In addition to providing optical coupling and ambient light exclusion, the 5000U-07A also provides a synchronisation signal (NIM or TTL) for connection to your existing timing electronics (e.g. TAC). This is derived from the laser emission using a fast photodiode and discriminator combination and is usually preferable to using the output from the laser's mode-locker or pulse-picker.
