Advanced Technologies for Grating Production

A diffraction grating is produced by first ruling a master grating. We can then replicate this master into a large number of exact copies, called replicas, for cost savings and product consistency.

Master gratings are manufactured using the following technologies:

  • Holographic recording
  • Ion-etching of holographic master
  • Mechanical ruling
