Brief Summary

Process01

On line Applications in Phosphorous Chemical Industry

The use of Raman spectroscopy on a PCl3 production line is shown here to allow monitoring of an hazardous reaction. Beside the Operator safety that the remote analysis brings, the flow of reactants can be instantly corrected to avoid any deviation from the stoechiometry conditions to maximize the rate of the reaction.

Process02

Real-time Monitoring of Polymerizations in Emulsions by Raman Spectroscopy - Modeling and Chemometrics

The copolymerization in emulsion of vinyldichloride with methylmetacrylate is monitored by Raman spectroscopy following the disappearance of the C=C bond of the vinyldichloride monomer. Using the modeling option gives access to the concentration of both monomers and polymer throughout the reaction. Such information ultimately enables the process engineer to optimize his procedure.

Process03

New advances in on-line monitoring of chemical products

An industrial application which concerns the real-time monitoring of chemical products is described. To adapt to the industrial environment, the Raman equipment requires specific features that will be reviewed here including the Indspec software.
