Surface chemistry
The SPRi BiochipsTM are suitable for a range of surface chemistries and are not restricted to a single probe/target regime. The Biochips are easily adapted and processed, such as through electropolymerisation (as shown below).
Immobilization using pyrrole
- Formation of the complex: biomolecule-pyrrole
- Coupling by electropolymerisation
Immobilization using Self-Assembled Multilayer (SAM)
- Formation of the biomolecule-biotine complex
- Biomolecules + Biotine in imidazole, 2h in ice, then desalting with PBS
- Commercialy available biotinylated biomolécules
